Traditional Ladakhi rooms have a lot of “Shing Las”: Woodwork that is similar to Wood in its natural state and color are used as the main materials in the rooms. The handcrafted wooden furniture bring out a traditional yet luxurious feel. Each room is centrally heated and equipped with tea and coffee-making equipment, a locker safe, and a 43” smart TV to keep you warm and comfortable.

 

Each room is brought to life with our colorful handwoven decorative pillow covers and bed runners designed by our in-house designer and made by women artisans at Superb Ladakh, a weaving unit.

 

Each room is also adorned with abstract mountain paintings to bring out the color story of the room from rich blues to grey with Ochre and Gold reflecting the panoramic view of mountains around you. 

 

At Rewa, we aim to reduce our carbon footprint by minimal usage of plastic, providing you with eco-friendly bathroom amenities packed in paper packaging and refilled water in glass bottles for drinking. We have introduced shampoo, conditioner, and lotion dispenser bottles in each room at the initial stage to completely eliminate one-time-use plastics. Our property consists of several solar panels on the roof to utilize Ladakh’s natural and powerful sunlight to provide you with hot water. We also have our Sewage treatment plant to treat and reuse the water for watering the plants. 

 

Lastly, Hotel Rewa Ladakh is one of the only luxury properties in Ladakh with a designer store on the premises to cater to your shopping needs at your doorstep. Stanzin Palmo, daughter of the founder Mr Sonam Angchok is a fashion designer by profession and is on the designing team of the hotel from designing the bed-runners to the carpet that will have her label “ZILZOM” showcased at the reception lobby. She tells her story of Ladakh through prints, use of materials, local craftsmanship using traditional techniques and organic fabrics, and weaving them into “Timeless creations”.
